A Church for the Third Millennium.
|
 |
"The act of faith which the parish of Mill Hill
has made in the building of this new church is a testimony to the truth that
a church is not only bricks and mortar, but also the people who believe and
worship. Your faith makes this church a place of prayer and a house fit for
God."
Cardinal George Basil Hume, OSB, September 1996

Welcome to Archbishop Vincent Nichols
On 21st May, Vincent Nichols was installed as the 11th
Archbishop of Westminster. While he is no stranger to Westminster, it is now
nine years since he left his role as an auxiliary bishop of the Diocese. As
we welcome our new Archbishop let us assure him of our prayers and seek to
give him every assistance in his role as pastor and guide. May God grant him
the wisdom and vision to lead us through these fast changing times in our
increasingly secular society.
It was on June 19th 1994 that Bishop Vincent (then bishop
in North London) laid the foundation
stone for the new Sacred Heart Church in Mill Hill.
