Demolition of the Old Church
Demolition of the old church began after Easter in 1994, and by the end
of May the site had been flattened. At the same time the hall in the old
social centre had been repainted and generally tidied up so that it could be
used for Sunday Mass celebrations. Weekday masses were held in the similarly
refurbished "green room" behind the stage.
