September and October 1994
By the end of September 1994 a considerable amount of bricklaying had
been done, and a month later the roof timbers were beginning to appear.
September 25th: The old Social Centre is
still serving as a church.
The interior walls begin to appear, and
the fixing lugs for the roof timbers are in place.
October 9th. The lantern takes shape,
and exterior walls and window frames begin to appear.
By October 30th all the main timbers are
in place and the tower is beginning to rise.
