The Confraternity Of The Rosary

Our Lady and the Rosary

Say the Rosary every day to obtain peace for the world

 Our Lady, Fatima 1917.

The Confraternity of the Rosary was started in our Parish in 1991. A great number of parishioners joined the Confraternity. In September 1996 our Parish was officially enrolled in to the Dominican Confraternity of the Rosary thus enabling the Parish Priest to enrol anyone who wishes to join and give the Dominican Rosary Blessing. Requests for enrolment have come from around the country and abroad.

There are enormous spiritual blessings and benefits in joining the Confraternity. To join, you are requested to recite, at least once a week, the whole Rosary while meditating on the fifteen mysteries, and to have your name enrolled in the Confraternity book. It is not a solemn obligation in that if one is ill or otherwise unable to fulfil it there is no penalty whatsoever.

The Rosary is my favourite prayer. A marvellous prayer.

 Pope John Paul II.
