Sacred Heart Stroke Club

We have decided to start a Stroke Club for local residents to meet between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm once a fortnight on a Tuesday. The club is for anyone who has suffered a stroke and would welcome a social event to relax, chat over a cup of tea, read a paper, play games, listen to music, join in a quiz or other occasional activity in a safe environment. If you feel you could benefit by coming along or anyone you know who could benefit, please let us know.

Volunteers are needed to help with a new Stroke Club which will be starting shortly in the Parish. We need people for the following:

bullet

Driving to transport the people to and from the club.

bullet

Helping out with activities during the sessions.

bullet

Making tea and coffee.

The club will resume on Tuesday, 13th January 2009. The beneficiaries are clients who have suffered a stroke and recovered from it. The main purpose of the club is to provide them with a social outing and to give their carers a break. We thank you for your prayers for this project.

For more information, please contact the presbytery.
