Sacred Heart Stroke Club
We have decided to start a Stroke Club for local residents to meet
between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm once a fortnight on a Tuesday. The club is for
anyone who has suffered a stroke and would welcome a social event to relax,
chat over a cup of tea, read a paper, play games, listen to music, join in a
quiz or other occasional activity in a safe environment. If you feel you
could benefit by coming along or anyone you know who could benefit, please
let us know.
Volunteers
are needed to help with a new Stroke Club which will be starting shortly
in the Parish. We need people for the following:
 |
Driving to transport the people to and from the club. |
 |
Helping out with activities during the sessions. |
 |
Making tea and coffee. |
The club will resume on Tuesday, 13th January 2009. The beneficiaries are clients who have suffered
a stroke and recovered from it. The main purpose of the club is to
provide them with a social outing and to give their carers a break. We
thank you for your prayers for this project.
For more information, please contact the presbytery. |
